Below you can see a table showing the ratios of color and CLEAR to create lighter shades, like shown on the Mix Shades page in the SHINE Color Book.
The desired tone level is shown in the columns of the table, while the available tone level is shown in the rows. At the intersection of the two, you will find the mixing ratio: the first number represents the amount of coloring pigment, and the second represents the amount of CLEAR required to achieve the target level.
The final mixture creates the desired tone level, which is then mixed with the oxidizer. It is important to calculate the oxidizer amount based on the total quantity of coloring mixture, including CLEAR.
For example, if you need a level 10 (like, 10.21) shade but only have 7.21 available:
According to the table, to achieve level 10 (blue column in the table) from level 7 (yellow row in the table), the coloring pigment on level 7 must be mixed with CLEAR in a 1:3 ratio (a cell in green color in the table).
